On the 14th of March, our team paid another visit to the town of Sviatohirsk. During this recent effort, we were able to deliver over 100 kilograms of washing powder to the town of Sviatohirsk.
This small act of kindness has had a significant ripple effect throughout the community. Recognizing the growing necessity for clean laundry facilities, the Mayor took swift action and set up a laundromat to serve the entire hromada.
However, despite the availability of washing machines, the lack of funds has left them unable to purchase detergent. With just 7,500 UAH ($200), we can ensure that the laundromat remains well-stocked with detergent for a week, benefiting the 5,000 individuals residing in the hromada.
We didn’t only address the immediate material needs of the community but also recognized the importance of fostering connections between the children of the town and the wider world. The organization took the opportunity to engage with the children, emphasizing the significance of the Sister City project. Being situated in a liberated territory, these children need to experience the friendship and support of the international community
