In preparation for the coming summer UAI staff delivered seeds to the agricultural hub of Lyman in hopes of providing citizens the resources they need to keep their food supply autonomous. Given the nature of the war many aid shipments of food and other materials are slowed down across borders, and while big NGOs hand out bread and canned goods we understand that Ukranians know best how to care for themselves.
The seed initiative delivered 1000s of seeds to citizens, just in time for planting. It is culturally aware solutions like these that enable us to support our neighbors not just with aid but with the mindset that they are in control. These seeds were the start of friendship, and a reminder of our shared hope for the future of Ukraine.
