Mayor of Sviatohirsk, Volodymyr Rybalkin, requested help on a call with leadership from Easton and Ashland; they were in need of a new dump truck and some additional fixes to an existing vehicle.
The committees were quick to allocate funds for the aid, understanding that a delay in the services these trucks provide to the community would be critical to their ongoing clean up and recovery. UAI worked diligently in the next 2 weeks to secure a second truck and install new tires on it. Additionally, we hired a local mechanic in Ukraine to make repairs to the existing truck in the Sviatohirsk fleet.
With an abundance of resources in the region dedicated to the war effort it can be hard to find tools, parts, and maintenance materials on the front lines. Even the vehicles we are able to get into Ukraine are often in need of some repair.
