The Community of Lyman gets 2 Patrol Cars and a Trash Truck

In our continued mission to make life easier in this trying time for the Ukrainian community, we visited Lyman and handed over 2 patrol cars and a trash truck. These patrol cars will help the Lyman police provide adequate security to the people of that area and the trash truck will make waste disposal seamless and convenient.

Trash removal means cleaner streets and healthier communities, and can even support the clearing of debris from ongoing attacks and raids. It is also important to keep the streets clear so emergency vehicles can navigate the city. Providing Sviatohirsk with proper resources for trash disposal enables a cleaner, healthier city for citizens.

UAI staff headed out to Siversk to speak with locals and take account of the recent and ongoing damages the city is experiencing. A fallen college, a closed up medical facility, and numerous beaten down buildings across the city serve as the backdrop for the civilians still living there.

As summer approaches, UAI staff brought seeds to Sviatohirsk, a key agricultural area, to help locals maintain their food independence. Due to war-related delays, getting aid across borders has been difficult. Unlike larger NGOs giving out basic supplies, we believe in supporting Ukrainians to take care of themselves.

Urgent Animal Needs in Kramatorsk: Sterilization, Rabies, and Isolation Cages

Our team visited Kramatorsk today to gain insights into the state of animal welfare and understand the challenges faced by the local community in dealing with stray animals. One of the most striking findings of our mission was the visit to the Animal Sterilization Center in Kramatorsk.

April, 2023

As with many cities on the front lines of the war certain municipal work has halted or slowed thanks to the prioritization of materials, vehicles, and people towards the fighting efforts. That has left Lyman without proper resources for trash disposal, a critical yet underestimated support for any city.

Our delegation had the honor of meeting with the Mayor of Sumy today, Oleksandr Lysenko, to discuss the opportunities for friendship and collaboration.
